AC metal-enclosed switchgear selection — Ur 3.6–40.5 kV. Panel type code, insulation levels, altitude/temperature derating, IAC classification, bay config, SF₆/vacuum/air recommendation.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Up (impulse kV) | — |
| Ud (power-freq kV) | — |
| Ur (kV) | — |
The panel type code follows IEC 62271-200 §3 nomenclature: [type] [Ur] / [Ir] / [Ik-tk] [/ LSC] [- partition] [/ IAC class Ik tk]. For the 11kV industrial preset (ABB UniGear ZS1 / Schneider SM6): AIS 12kV / 1250A / 25kA-1s / LSC2B-PM / IAC AFLR 25kA 1s.
Up = rated lightning impulse withstand voltage. Ud = rated short-duration power-frequency withstand voltage. Both must be verified against the applicable altitude correction factor Ka. At H > 1000 m: Ud_corrected = Ud / Ka.
Ka = e^((H-1000)/8150) for H > 1000 m. For H=2000 m: Ka=1.13 (13% derating required). K_temp ≈ 1 − 0.012 × (T_max − 40°C). Combined derating: Ir_final = Ir × Ka × K_temp.
Ek = √3 × Ur × Ik × t × cos(φ_arc) with cos(φ_arc) ≈ 0.7 per IEC 60865-1. The IAC classification specifies the maximum arc energy the enclosure can contain without bursting. AFLR = all faces arc-resistant.
LSC1 → single busbar (simplest). LSC2A/2B + high reliability → double busbar. LSC2B + standard reliability → single with bypass. The single-line diagram SVG reflects the selected configuration.
