Export to Fabrication
FrameAI outputs every format your workshop, BIM software, and CNC machines need — in one click.
Available export formats
Open a completed job and click the Exports tab to see all available downloads. All exports are generated from the completed job data — no re-processing needed.

PDF Fabrication Report
The PDF report is the primary document for submitting to a checking engineer or client. It includes:
- Firm name, logo, and address from your Studio branding settings
- Project name and date on the cover page
- Member schedule: mark, profile, grade, span, section class, utilisation
- Connection summary: type, bolt grade, checks performed
- Load combination table with governing actions per member
- Eurocode clause references for every calculation
Branding. Set your firm name, logo, and address in Settings. The PDF report picks up these details automatically — no need to re-enter them per job.
DXF Shop Drawings
DXF files are generated per member using the DXF R12 format, which is the most widely supported format in steel detailing software. Each DXF includes:
- Member profile geometry to scale
- Part mark label at the correct position
- Overall dimension and location dimensions
- Material callout (profile + grade)
- Weld symbols where applicable
- DXF layers: MEMBER, DIMENSION, LABEL, WELD, HATCH
Open the DXF in AutoCAD or any compatible software. All geometry is parametric — if the source drawing changes, re-run the pipeline and download updated DXFs.
IFC 4 BIM Model
The IFC 4 export contains the full structural model as defined by the extracted members and Eurocode calcs:
IfcBeam— one entity per structural member, S355/S275/S235 classifiedIfcMember— non-beam members (columns, braces)IfcConnectionPointGeometry— connection nodes with coordinate dataIfcMechanicalFastener— bolt entities from connection data- Layered loads and boundary conditions for structural analysis tools
The IFC model imports into Tekla Structures, Autodesk Revit, Robot Structural Analysis, SCIA Engineer, and Solibri Model Checker without conversion or loss of data.
DSTV NC1 (Pro/Studio)
DSTV NC1 is the German steelwork standard for CNC machine communication. FrameAI generates 7th edition ASCII files for each member mark. Each file contains:
- Hole blocks: position, diameter, depth for drilling machines
- Cut information: profile contours, cut lines
- Mark data: part mark, profile, grade, quantity, surface treatment
- Material grade from the extracted drawing data
Download all DSTV files as a ZIP archive. Extract and load individual .NC1 files into your CNC interface.
Sharing exports with fabricators
FrameAI generates a public, read-only share link for each completed job. Send the link to a fabricator — they see the full results view without needing a FrameAI account. Share links are optional and can be revoked from the job detail screen.
