What FrameAI Delivers

From PDF to fabrication-ready artefacts

Upload a structural steel PDF. FrameAI extracts every member, runs the Eurocode calculations, and outputs the full suite of fabrication-ready files.

DXF Shop Drawings
Part marks, dimensions, and material callouts. AutoCAD R12 compatible for every steel detailer.
IFC 4 BIM Model
Full structural model importable into Tekla, Robot, SCIA, and any BIM platform.
DSTV NC1 CNC Data
7th edition ASCII output for automated drilling, cutting, and welding machines.
Eurocode Calcs
EN 1993-1-1 buckling, EN 1993-1-8 connections, EN 1994 composite beams — included.
Tekla Structures Plugin · Alpha

FrameAI for Tekla —
Eurocode checks without leaving the model

One click on the ribbon. FrameAI reads your selected bolt group or beam, runs the EN 1993-1-8 / EN 1993-1-1 check, and shows utilisation + clause references in a docked results panel — no spreadsheet, no browser tab.

Three buttons on your ribbon
Button 1
Check Connection
Select a bolt group + connected members → POST to /api/v1/check/en-1993-1-8. Utilisation, governing clause, and PDF download shown in the docked panel.
Button 2
Check Member
Select any beam or column → POST to /api/v1/check/en-1993-1-1. Cross-section class, buckling resistance, and utilisation ratios in one click.
Button 3
Export to FrameAI
Upload the current model as IFC to a new FrameAI project. Opens your browser to the project page — full pipeline runs automatically.
First run: the plugin prompts for your API key with a link to /signup?from=tekla-plugin. Key is stored locally — model data never leaves your machine except for the specific selection you send to the API.

FAQ
Which Tekla versions are supported?
Alpha targets Tekla Structures 2023 and 2024 (64-bit, .NET 4.8 runtime). Support for 2022 and 2025 is planned for beta.
Does the plugin work offline?
The check API requires an internet connection — it sends the selected bolt group or member data to the FrameAI Eurocode engine. The Tekla model itself stays on your machine. Offline mode (bundled calc engine) is on the roadmap for GA.
What data leaves my machine?
Only the specific selection you trigger a check on: bolt properties, connected plate dimensions, applied forces. No full model geometry, no file upload, no drawing data unless you use "Export to FrameAI".
What's the pricing at GA?
Free during alpha. At general availability the plugin will be included in the Pro (€60/yr) and Studio (€400/yr) plans — no separate plugin fee.
Which Eurocode checks does it run?
Alpha: EN 1993-1-8 §3.5/§3.6 bolted connections (shear, bearing, tension, block tear) and EN 1993-1-1 §6.2/§6.3 member resistance + buckling. Post-alpha: EN 1993-1-9 fatigue, EN 1994 composite, EN 1998-1 seismic.
